Weekdays

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last tower climb at 5:00 PM)
On Tuesdays the library closes only at 8PM so you can participate at the carillon play!

During Leuven Bells (Thursday, August 6, 13, 20, and 27), the tower remains open until 7:30PM, and you can attend a carillon demonstration from 6:30PM to 7:30PM.

Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays 

10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last tower climb at 5:00 PM)

On weekdays, walking around in the Great Reading Room is not permitted; visitors may view the room from the central nave.

The University Library is closed on 25 December and 1 January.
