A few rules of behaviour

Everybody should be able to use the library in a comfortable way, therefore we draw  your attention to a few rules of behaviour.

  • Make sure to always bring along a valid library card (student card, personnel  card, annual pass…).
No card=buy a day-ticket for access to the library.
  • Would you like to put your coat and bag away before entering the library? Do you want to safely store your valuables?
Use the lockers that can be locked safely.
  • Have you got better things to do than endlessly searching for a book? Don’t you have the time for looking through all the racks?
Place the books after use back in place at the shelves or leave them behind on the therefore provided places (reshelving carts, …). This way everybody will be able to find them in no time.
  • Don’t you like sticky and smelly books?
Food and drinks (except bottled water with a screw cap) do not belong in the library.
  • Do you occasionally want to be able to study in peace?
Show some respect for the silence in the silent areas and try to reduce the produced volume of your group work activities to the minimum.
Mobile conversations are to be kept outside the library. Inside the library you put your phone on silent.
