General

  • A day card (for occasional library use without loan facilities) is strictly personal and gives access to all libraries of the KU Leuven for one day. The tariff includes a warranty of € 5 which will be paid back upon return of the card before closing time of the library where the card was obtained.
  • A year card not only gives you access but also gives you loan facilities. Loan facilities can differ in some libraries. Whenever loan is permitted, it is for free.
  • The reader card cannot be used by another person and has to be shown at the request of the library staff. A lost library pass can be replaced, after payment of an administration fee of € 7,00.
  • In case of damage or loss of documents on loan the purchase cost of the document, as well as the fine for overdue documents, will be invoiced to the customer. In case of non-payment KU Leuvens juridical service will be called in.
