E-journals

CBA tries to offer as many electronic journals (e-journals) as possible.

How to find them in LIMO?

  1. Choose the tab 'find e-journal' (at the top).
  2. If you want to know which e-journal of a specific SUBJECT you can consult, click on 'category', then on 'subcategory'.
  3. If you want to know which e-journals of a particular PUBLISHER you can consult, click on 'locate', then make your choice out of the 'vendor' list..

Open shelve collection (= WBIB)

The most recent issues, from this calendar year, are located in our 'reading room' on the ground floor. The bound volumes containing the issues from the previous years can be found on the lowest floor.

When you've found the description of a journal in LIMO, you always have to click on the name of the library before you can see the shelf number.

This number contains all the information you can read on the label of the journal.

Important: note down the entire number!

The open shelve collection of the journals always gets the abbreviation WBIB, followed by (05), and then the subject number and a serial number.

This combination of (05) and the subject numbers can be found on the top of the shelves in the 'journals room' on the ground floor. On the lowest floor this combination can be found on the side of the shelves.

Stack collection (=WDEP or WMAG)

The older volumes of our current periodicals, or our 'closed' journals are located in our closed stacks.

When you find a journal of which the shelf number starts with WDEP or WMAG and you want to have a look at it or ask for copies from an article, you have to request it in LIMO (see hold requests in the section 'access / use').
