Returning

inleverrobot.jpgDuring opening hours, you can return your borrrowed materials by using the "returning" robot at the entrance hall of the library.

Put your books or CD-roms, one at a time, on the conveyor, back side up. When the light turns red, there is a problem and you should contact the main desk.

When you have already passed the entrance gates, you can still return books by using one of the 2 self-service devices.

What to do?

  1. Select  'returning' on the instruction screen.
  2. Put your (valid) library card on the card-reader (little black box) and put your books (or CD-roms) - max. 5 simultaneously - on the black working surface.
  3. The returned titles appear on the screen.
  4. Push the 'receipt' button to get a receipt.
  5. Message in red: contact a member of the staff.

Fine: Returning books after the due date will be charged with 0,50 euro a book a day.

Starting from 5 euro in fines you can no longer borrow or renew books.

Reserving

If you need a book that has already been borrowed by someone else, you can can make a reservation for it. Reservations are free of charge.

The person currently borrowing the book cannot renew the reserved book. When it is returned it'll be put aside and you will receive an e-mail.

What to do?

  1. Log into LIMO by using 'sign in' (in the top right of the screen).
  2. Search for your book in LIMO, click on 'locations'; then click on the cross before the name of the library (when the book is 'out of library').Press the 'request' button underneath 'request options'.

Hold requests

Books or articles out of journals from WMAG or WDEP (our closed stacks) have to be requested.

This is the same procedure as for reserving books.

What to do?

  1. Log into LIMO by using 'sign in' (in the top right of the screen).
  2. Search for your book in LIMO, click on 'locations'; then click on the cross before the name of the library.

A requested book from WMAG will be available at the main desk within half an hour and can be borrowed if necessary.

Requesting an article 'for inspection only' is free of charge. If you mention that it is for inspection only the members of the library staff won't make copies.

When you do not mention 'for inspection only', you'll receive a PDF of the article by e-mail. It will cost 2,50 euro.

Requests for articles from WMAG are available on the same day; those for WDEP within 2 days

Requests for maps

Most maps are located in a closed area, and will have to be requested through LIMO.

What to do?

  1. Log into LIMO by using 'sign in' (in the top right of the screen).
