Copying, printing, scanning
Copying
For both copying and printing , you need to buy a copy card at the copy card machine. The K.U.Leuven copy cards can be used in every library of our university.
To copy, put your card in the photocopier.
Where can you find a photocopier?
- Ground floor, in the middle of the 'books' room,
- lowest floor, close to the carrels,
- first floor, at the information desk.
Printing
You can print from the PCs in the Petrus Celestinus room, from the other PCs or from your laptop.
What to do?
- Log in with your userid + password and send your document to the printer (in the learning centre, ground floor, at the bottom of the stairs).
- Your document will appear on the printer's screen behind your user number.
- Select your document and put your copy card in the printer.
- The computer will ask you to confirm your choice; click on 'OK'.
IMPORTANT: check if you still have enough credits (copies) left on your card. If not, divide your print task. F.e. an article consists of 40 pages, and your copy card only counts 20 copies = 2 print tasks: one task for the last 20 copies on your old card, and one task voor the first 20 copies on your new copy card.
Scanning
At the moment, there are 2 scanners in our library, one in the learning centre, on the ground floor, and the other close to the photocopier and the carrels on the lowest floor.
Scans can be stored temporarily on the PC you are working on. You can e-mail them to yourself or store them on a USB-stick.
