Study rooms

In the study room Precious Works and Archives, one can consult documents of both collections: manuscripts, pictures, old prints and precious works on one hand, and the archives of K.U.Leuven and other archives within the University on the other hand. There is a reference library in the field of archival science with, among others, inventories of Belgian archives and guides of important foreign archives. The reader will also find here useful manuals on the traditional historical auxiliary sciences. More than 15000 catalogues of manuscripts are placed in the corridor and partly in the open repository. The study room City and University, the middle room, contains the collections concerning the history of the city of Leuven and of its University. The collections concerning the history of other Belgian and foreign universities can be found in the open repository. In the study room Bibliography, the third room on the right, you can find the collections with reference works on all aspects of the history of the book. These collections are continued in the open repository.
