Print room
The Prentenkabinet (Print room) chiefly embraces a collection of an ample 7000 engraved portraits (sixteenth – twentieth centuries) and an 'historical topographical atlas' of Leuven and vicinities. A separate series are the portraits of Leuven professors.
Another part of the print collection consists of maps and plans, images of manners and customs, original photographs (mainly from the nineteenth century), and posters.
There is a card catalogue of the plans and views of Leuven and its buildings. Another card catalogue lists the portrait collection on the name of the sitter. |
