On 11 March 2011 in JAPAN, TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants had a series of serious radiation accidents, caused by the massive earthquake and following Tsunami. People within the Evacuation area have been expelled from their hometown and forced to live in refugee. The Non-Profit-Organization, Act for Japan.be invite 2 pottery craftsmen of Soma-yaki, a traditional local pottery which is located within 10 km from the devastated nuclear power plants. Mr. Akito Nagahashi and Mr. Masanori Sue will introduce the traditional culture of Soma-yaki, and share their experience in the disaster with European audience through lectures. Then on 6 April, a lecture is organized in East-Asian Library of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven at 14:00PM. This project is not limited to Belgium. The pottery craftsmen are invited to events and festivals in France and Spain. If you wish to meet the 2 pottery craftsmen, you're invited to join their journey through Europe.
